Medical Experiments Of The Holocaust And Nazi Medicine

During World War ll numerous of Natzi doctors experimentet on thousands of consentration camp prisoners to advance German medicine without the consent of the patient. It is horrible how the doctors always have been good nice saviors and now they were experimenting on humans. Josef Mengele was one of the doctors who was performing deadly experiments on humans. Mengele started working in Auschwitz in may 1943. He had a supply of twins to study, and It would be no problem if they would die. There has been counted that over hundreds of children have been used in Mengele’s experiments.

There wore no limit on what the doctors could do on the these camps. They did blood tests included mass transfusions of blood from from one twin to another. One survivor said that many twins did never return, they took them and they never returned.

Mengele good do anything to the twins, he was capable of doing anything. He thought that he had to do this that there will not come an opportunity to experiment on twins.

Freezing/ Hypothermia– The freezing hypothermia experiments were organized on men to simulate the armies who suffered  on the Eastern front. A large number of people died of freezing or were debilitated by cold injuries. Dr Sigmund Birkenau was one of the doctors in charge of the experiments.

The freezing experiments were divided into two parts: First they looked how long it would take to lower the body temperature. The other thing was how to best resuscitate the frozen victim. They have used two different types to freeze the victims. One of the ways were to freeze the victim by putting the person in a icy vat of water. The other way was to put the victim outside naked in minus cold temperatures.

The twins lived separately from the other in the concentration camp. They did not have to do hard work and had jobs like being a messenger. They were spared from all punishments in the camp. The living conditions were quite good for the children in Auschwitz until the got moved for the experiments. Mengele’s experiments were many and quite different. Saw a documentary were twin survivors spoke about their experiences.

The experiments were different, for instance the twins who were older than 16, would be put in a lab and used in cross-gender blood transfusions. So blod was going from the male to the female. Most of the twins died under this experiments.

Eva Kor and twin sister Miriam were separated from their family in Auschwitz just 30 minutes after they had arrived to the camp. They were only 10 years old and had no idea about what would happen to them. One thing that Eva decided after seeing the first two dead children was to never give up and fight her through this battle. On Monday, Wednesday and Friday, they would be taken to observation lab where they would sit for hours naked. They did not do anything special, they just sat on the floor waiting. They measured almost every part of her body and compared the results with her sisters.

There is one story about two brothers, that I can’t get out of my head. When the prisoners came to Auschwitz where they admittedly shared into different groups. The twins were taken at the same time. There were two brothers with over one year age difference. Everybody heard that if you were a twin it will be safer and that you maybe survive. The brothers decided to go as fake twins because they had a better chance at surviving . Mengel never realized that they weren’t twins, Mengel thought that is what weird that the one twin brother could sing so much better than the other. So he started to inject different medicine in the bad singing brothers mouth. Something happened and he can’t talk clearly today because of the experiments
